Can I drink alcohol if I'm taking Desloratadine?

I have some dilemma and I need an advice. I am taking Desloratadine for some time now. But now I have to arrange my son's weeding. You are, probably, wondering what the conection is. I am not an alcoholic but I must drink something on my son's wedding. Can I drink alcohol if I'm taking Desloratadine?

Generally the combination of alcohol and medications is never a good idea. Especially it is case with antidepressants. Alcohol and Desloratadine could increase drowsiness and lack of coordination. But this is the case in situations when there is chronic alcohol abuse. I am sure that one day will not get much trouble. You can stop the treatment for few days, to wait to Desloratadine disappear from your blood.
