Is it possible to get a zit on your in labia? I have a single red bump on the inside of on of my labia. Is this something else? It looks like a zit but I am not sure if you can get a zit there. I have an uncomfortable feeling where it is. The feeling is not anywhere else, that is why I thought it was a zit. It feels just like a zit on your face.

I have the same thing. It just happened last night and I am panicking... I haven't had sex in over 6 months... I started taking tetracycline for acne but I have NEVER in my life had a zit down there... and I do not know if that could be a side effect of the medication. It doesn't say so anywhere. I am also taking anti-depressants... The pharmacist told me that there shouldn't be a drug interaction between the two...
I figured that I would give as much info as possible in case someone knows something about my meds and this situation. I am really worried... and in pain. |

You can get acne on any part of the body, but when it appears somewhere other than your face, back, or chest, then it usually is something more like folliculitis, which is basically an inflammation of the hair follicles. You may want to try cleansing the area with an over-the-counter antiseptic, and then applying something like bacitracin or neosporin ointment 1 or 2 times a day. If it doesn't clear up after about 2 or 3 weeks, then perhaps a doctor can prescribe an oral antibiotic for you. |
