Can I get pregnant a week before my period?

My last menstrual cycle was on Jan. 27, 2007. I had been on the pill 3 months before that. This was the first month I stopped. I had sexual intercourse on Feb. 22 and he came inside of me. Can I be pregnant? And how early can a urine pregnancy test see if I am pregnant?

Anytime that you have unprotected incourse there is always the chance of becoming pregnant..Sperm can live inside a womens body for about 5 to 7 days...There is no safe period that you can have unprotected intercourse, you can even become pregnant during your period...I would try a home pregnancy test about 14 to 16 days after the last time that you had intercourse..They are pretty accurate...If it turns out neg and you still suspect pregnancy then I would wait another week and retest just to see...Hope this helps..Let me know how you turn out...
