Hello, folks. I was on examination and I did smear test. It seems that something is suspicious, my gynecologist suggests me to do cervical conisation. I would like to know whether I can have sex after this procedure. Can anyone answer me this? Thanks in advance for all your help. Bye!

Hello. A certain aftercare is needed after cervical conization. You will probably feel cramps and discomfort for a week. An overnight stay in hospital is also needed. You shouldn’t have sex at least till next appointment. Even then, I am not sure the doctor will recommend you sex. Some other things you should also avoid. You shouldn’t use tampons or douche for that period either. I hope this was helpful for you. Good luck!
