Can I mix cimetidine and propulsid?

Too much worry and you get an ulcer. I have lost my job few months ago and I was so annoyed that I have got an ulcer. Now I have a new job but ulcer is still there. I am taking cimetidine to decrease amount of acid in my stomach. Now doctor told me to take propulsid. I have forgotten to ask him should I stop with cimetidine or to mix those medications?

As far as I know it is not a good combination. When you are taking cimetadine it is not good to use medications like propulsid (cisapride), dofetilide, or a nitrosoureas. That can cause some serious side effects. It is the best to go back to your doctor and consult with him. Maybe you can use some other histamine blocker instead cimetidine.
