Can I use contact lenses with glaucoma?

Please, I need to know one really important thing. Does anybody know can patients with glaucoma wear contact lenses? I’ve just heard from my doctor that maybe I had glaucoma. I was totally confused and I didn’t ask him can I use contact lenses with glaucoma. I’m really worried. Thank you!

Yes, you can wear your contact lenses without any troubles. As I know, many glaucoma patients may normally use them. Of course, as you probably suppose, you should ask your ophthalmologist first. But you should know also that some drugs for glaucoma can cause ”dry eyes," a condition that makes wearing contact lenses more difficult.
