Can Methadone make you infertile

I have been taking methadone on and off for about 3 years. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby since May 2005 and have not been successful. It took me a while once off birthcontrol to start having my period again, but now I am irregular, but I do have a period about every other month. I was told that methadone does not make you infertile, but I want to know for sure and I don't want to ask my doctor. Thanks for your help!

If your on methadone you sure don't need to be trying to get pregnant because if you "plan to quit" after u find out your pregnant , well it takes a person like 2-4 weeks for their levels to be up enough to detect. irregular periods make it harder to detect time of ovulation which means the sperm is not meeting the egg at the right time
