Can Pepcid help treat heart failure?

A friend of mine told me that my currently used medication, Pepcid, can be used to treat heart failure. There was a story in some magazine about this. Scientists have made researches about this medicine. It turns out that Pepcid can be used as cure for heart. Have anyone else heard about this?

I read that article too. It was same testing made by Japanese scientists who suspect in additional effects of Pepcid. They publish only the preliminary results but even that give us hope in better therapy. Pepcid blocks chemical reaction that can weaken diseased hearts. Those scientists are initiating large study to be done, but they also are saying that it is to early to prescribe it for heart failure treatment.
