Hi, I am 45 years old women and I have problems with heart tachycardia and high blood pressure. I was going to the doctor last couple of months because I was much scarred after one attack of tachycardia. Doctor gave me Veramapil and I am going to the hospital to take the shots. Can Verapamil medications be prescribed for heart and blood pressure problems?
As I know, Veramapil is usually prescribed for heart tachycardia. It works by slowing electrical conduction in the heart and in that way, it helps normalizing heart beats. By calming down your heart, it can influence on your heart pressure especially if it is high. Your heart pumps blood slower and regular and if you dont have blood clots then it is way to lower blood pressure.
