Two months before, I’ve suffered from very strong and acute tonsillitis which kept me in bed for about two weeks.
I swallowed a pack of antibiotics and somehow I get over it.
My tonsils are fine now, but the other day, when I looked in a mirror I have just noticed that I have some raised little areas of flesh, like little bumps on my tongue.
I also noticed that they are very painful when I touching them. I looked up in some anatomy atlas and I understood they are some tastebuds, but on picture they appeared to be smaller and not so red.
I have larger in size almost like a cancer sore buds.
What can cause this tastebud condition?
Any advise or information you could give me about this would be much appreciated.

You are right. You are talking about tastebuds.
Tastebuds are sensory organs that are found on your tongue and allow you to experience tastes that are sweet, salty, sour, and bitter.
Sometimes they can get infected and then they are sore and irritating.
Probably infection that was on your tonsils has progress and passed to your tastebuds.
Inflammation of tastebuds can even cause saltiness in your mouth and white film on my tongue.
Probably best thing for you to do is to contact your doctor again.
He will probably prescribe you some strong antibiotic medication.
You shouldn’t wait a minute longer because sometimes, when inflammation take hold of whole tongue-you can even loose your sense of taste and that condition is irreversible. So, run to your general practitioner and schedule an examination!
