I would like to know if albinism can be diagnosed in unborn child wit a help of amniocentesis. My father has been suffering from it and I would just like to know if there is some possibility, some risk for my child to have it? It is not that albinism is the end off the world but still, life can be a lot easier without it.

And you are right about that. Even though, far from fatal, this condition does have its bad sides, especially when it comes to eyes. Still, today there are tests that can tell us if the unborn child has this illness. Those are some blood tests for identifying the gene carriers and chorionic villus test in the second month of pregnancy (I think in fifth week) can discover some forms of albinism.
