Can autistic persons live normally in the society?

Hello! I have a friend who has an autistic brother. He is very kind person but completely incapable to take care of himself. It is so sad. I am thinking who will take care of him when his parents die. Maybe he will be placed in some kind of group home. Can autistic persons live normally in the society?

Hello! There are many people who are autistic and live normally. They have regular jobs and of course still some problems with which they have to cope everyday. But aren’t we all coping with some problems in our heads. And, there are many people who can’t have regular jobs or take care of themselves. So, it all depends on the severity of their disorder. And, today is really funny to say “normal”. Why do you think you lead a normal life? What is a normal life anyway?
