Can buprenorphine cause drowsiness?

I underwent minor surgery a week ago and was administered a shot of buprenorphine, before and after the surgery. I am OK now, aside from occasional bouts of drowsiness and dizziness, but I think it is the symptom of cold I caught for which I’m taking antihistamines. Can buprenorphine cause drowsiness?

It is good that you mentioned taking some other medication with the buprenorphine, because, and I am surprised that you weren’t told that by your doctor, it does cause drowsiness, among other symptoms when taken with other medication such as those containing antihistamine found in cold medicines, muscle relaxants etc.
