I was having a BBQ in my backyard with my family when the kids who were running around and chasing each other crushed into the grill and got burnt. In the panic that followed I could not tell how much or how seriously were they burnt. Can burns destroy skin?
You should be very careful in the future. The ABA (American Burn Association) issues warning every year around holidays when there are bigger chances of burn accidents. There are three different types of burns. First degree – which involves only the outer layer of skin, second degree – affects the top layers of skin and third degree – also called full-thickness burns which can even destroy the bones.
