Can chronic heart failure be treated?

My grandfather has chronic heart failure. I know that it can be very dangerous. Now he is using certain medications. But yesterday my friend told me that there are a lot of kinds of treatments for this disease. How can an chronic heart failure be treated? Can you tell me, please? Thanks!

In the beginning doctors usually treat heart failure with a combination of medications. In some cases, doctors recommend. Other treatments are implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization therapy and heart pumps. But people with severe heart failure that surgery or medications don't help may need to have their heart replaced with a healthy donor heart.
