Can clodged arteries disappear on their own?

I suffer from angina pectoris for a long time. It might be genetic in nature but I think it is more because of my eating habits. Now, my left coronary artery is 60% clogged and doctor says that I have to be operated. Can clogged arteries disappear on their own? Is the operation really that necessary?

No, they cannot pass just like that. With healthy food diet, you can prevent further complication of those arteries, but it cannot remove those obstructions in your arteries. That is what operation is for. It will remove all that accumulated fat and will enable you to have a normal life. Of course, after the procedure it is strongly advised that you lead a healthy life.
