Can clonidine cause loss of appetite?

Hello, I have problems with high blood pressure and problems with a lot of extra weight. I think that high pressure is directly caused by those extra kilos. I think that main problem is in increased appetite. Doctor advises me to start with the diet and I have been hearing about Clonidine and its effect. Can it cause loss of appetite?

I must tell you that Clonidine is used for dealing with high blood pressure but only in those cases where no other drug helps. It decreases simpaticus and increases parasimpaticus which is manifested with hypotension and bradycardia. As for side effects, you should be aware of constipation, dry mouth, bradycardia. I do not think it affects appetite.
