Can dolasetron prevent post-operative and post-radiation nausea and vomiting?

My sister had a carcinoma in the left breast. New problems occurred when, after the removal of the tissue, radiotherapy was ordered and that was really hard for her. She suffered from nausea and vomited often and that all weakened her organism. This decreased the level of her immune system. Can dolasetron prevent post-operative and post-radiation nausea and vomiting?

This medication will reduce her nausea and vomiting as a consequence of her radiotherapy. It blocks 5 HT3 receptors and in this way acts like an antimimetic. You have to be aware that there are side effects that include constipation, headaches, skin redness, and there are no know contraindications. If this drug does not help, she could try with drugs that combine several antimimetics in their structure.
