Can ginger pills help ovarian cancer patients who have bowel obstructions?

My friend has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and I am so worried about her. I cannot even imagine what must be going through her head (she is 33 years old). Additionally, she has bowel obstructions that are bothering her immensely. Can ginger pills help ovarian cancer patients with bowel obstructions?

I know that ginger pills do help people who have problems with upset stomach, nausea, motion sickness The main point is that it is a herbal medicament and it neutralizes the stomach acid. Of course I assume that she is already taking some medications and that might prevent her from taking ginger pills, because some interaction might happen. So, she has to speak with her doctor and see if ginger pills are safe for her to take.
