Hello, folks. I have just started with exercising in a gym. I must admit that I am little afraid of possible knee injury since my friend got one last year while practicing in the gym. I wonder if it is possible for a knee injury to be prevented. I will really appreciate your replies. Thanks.
Hi. First, it is great that you think ahead. It is far easier to prevent than to heal injury. If you do some exercises that activate your knee a lot, then use kneepads and shin guards. It is also good to warm your knee before starting exercising. I recommend cooling down when finishing practicing. Don't increase the intensity of your works out suddenly. Many people recommend yoga for strengthening the muscles and improving flexibility. I hope I've helped you a little. You should also talk to your gym instructor for further details. Bye!
