Can lacto vegetarians eat yogurt?

Hello, my friends. My friend has decided to become lacto vegetarian. I must admit that this sounds unusual to me. Why would anyone want to do this? I wonder if they can eat yogurt. Can anyone tell me something more about this? I will appreciate all your replies considering this. Bye!

Hello. Lacto vegetarians are also a mystery to me. They cannot eat eggs. However, they can eat dairy products. This goes for yogurt as well. They can eat it.
