Can my injury lead to inflammation? I fell from chair couple of nights ago (do not ask how that happen), and got me several nasty bruises on right arm and leg. I decided not to go to a doctor. I think it will heal on its own. Still, I would like someone to answer my question.

If we are talking only of bruises, then visit to a doctor is not that urgent. But, possibility of inflammation is big, since cause of it can be anything. For example, hot water during a shower can irritate your damaged skin and cause inflammation. I suggest that you use some ointment and maybe analgetic as prevention.
