Can pregnancy occur if period is started day after sex?

I had sex with my boyfriend and the next day I started a pretty normal period. It's funny how this happens often, like our timing is just right...only if I dont get pregnant! But I just wanted to know if it's even possible to become pregnant that soon or if the sperm can last long enough to attach to the egg?

While it is rare, [i]you can still become pregnant [/i]while on your period ( my girlfirnd had a similar problem, but the egg became lodged along the uterus and would not continue to fall....this made her very sick, the egg was fertilized but was unable to develope at that rate/location ).
Im a guy and cant provide many answers as i have no medical background, just a first hand experience.

If the sex was right before your period, it probably means that you were past ovulation and the chance of getting pregnant is very low. Ovulation is around the 14th day of the cycle, give or take a couple days before and after. But still take a test.
