Can some vitamins cause heart disease?

Yesterday my friend told me that certain vitamins are not good for human heart. I don’t believe in that. Maybe if you are taking too much of some vitamins, you can have some problem. But I don’t know what these vitamins are. Tell me, please, can some vitamins cause heart disease?

Yes. Your friend has right. Taking higher than recommended doses of some vitamins may cause problems. I read that vitamin E from food protects against heart disease, but vitamin E from supplements can be dangerous for your heart. Anyway, vitamins from food can not do you any harm but be careful with supplements.
