Can steroids ever be used safely?

Hello, I have a daughter, 7 years of age. She has strong asthma attacks. On the last health check, doctor prescribed her with corticosteroids and some other meds too. I would like to know something more about steroids. Can they ever be used safely? I mean, she is young; perhaps these meds are just too strong for her.

Do not worry that much. All medications that are taken via inhaler are working on a local level. So, all those bad side effects that occur while taking system medications are not present in this case. This medication will help her a lot, prevent any breathing problems and improve that same process.
