Can you expereince withdrawal symptoms from topical nasal decogestants?

I would like to ask you about my father's condition. He is 67 years old and it looks like his problems with breathing (nasal issues) have become really severe. He went to a doctor and received a prescription for oxymetazoline, nasal decongestant. Can you experience some of the withdrawal symptoms from this drug?

Well, I do know that this drug might cause hallucinations, but I am not so sure about those withdrawal effects, that would mean that this drug could develop an addiction in the patient and that is not something to play with. Especially in his years. On the other hand, it should help him with his problem.
