Hi, I have bumps on my thighs for a long time. I went to doctor, but he told me that it’s nothing serious and that it’s going to disappear on it’s own. However, nothing is happening. Can you help me determine what these bumps are?

Hi, I had bumps on my thighs and butt cheeks for several months. They hurt every time when I sat down or when I touched them. I thought that they might be big pimples and I tried to squeeze them, but there was nothing inside that could be squeezed out by pressure. Those bumps were ugly, and it was embarrassing when I wore shorts and skirts. I don’t have them any more, but I can still see reddish spots. I never found out for sure what caused those bumps, but I have few ideas. They could be caused by infected acne, boils, insect sting allergies and trauma. Those bumps could leave permanent scares if you scrub them, so don’t ever do that!
