Can you live normally with arthritis?

Hello! My mother has arthritis. She has been having problems with her joints for some time now. She used to take pain relievers but when her problems became more frequent and serious she decided to visit her doctor who diagnosed arthritis. He prescribed anti-inflammatory drugs and diet. She would like to do some exercises but I don’t know if she is allowed to. Can you live normally with arthritis?

Hello! You mother can lead a normal life but she should be moderate in everything she does. This is especially important with physical activity. She should be reasonably active so her joints don’t stiffen up, but should also ensure that she gets adequate physical rest at the same time. She should check with her doctor or physiotherapist before starting any exercise program to see which exercises are the best for her, how often she should exercise, and how much exercise she should be doing.
