On the Childhood Cancer Awareness Day, doctors who participated in a discussion warned the cancer patients as well as other people to stay alert even if they had managed to get rid of one cancer. Cancers can strike back at any time, sometimes even years after the first attack.

Those people who have cured cancer should have regular check-ups as late diagnosis can be fatal. People address doctors usually not until all the symptoms are present and this makes treatment much harder and longer. Modern techniques make the detection and treatment easier but prompt reactions can be life-saving.

Doctors who participated on the discussion made an appeal on parents not to neglect their children and to take them for examination after the first irregularities or symptoms arise.

Cancer is the third largest killer of kids in America after trauma and homicide.
