I am not sure if have develop candida albicans infection. I’m not sexually active, but a friend of mine also is not but got it a year ago. I have white discharge and there is really great amount of that discharge on my panties in the morning. It has that characteristic smell as I have heard that candida albicans has. Can it be something else, I mean is there any infection that has same symptoms like candida albicans? I’m 17.
Symptoms of candida albicans infection are white or yellow discharge, itching of vagina, burning and redness of external area. It doesn’t have to mean that you have to develop all these symptoms. But discharge that has characteristic yoghurt like smell is typical for candidiasis. You should have an exam done and if it would show to be candidiasis, you’ll get proper therapy, like suppositories or ointment to treat it externally.
