I would appreciate some information about candida. My best friend told me that she was diagnosed with it. When she told me some of her symptoms I thought that I have it too. Can you tell me more about it?

The first thing you need to do is to go to your doctor. Candida is symbiotic yeast, which lives in us and on us. It is a part of our normal collection of microorganisms and it lives with numerous other microbes. However, it can become proliferous, causing a number of symptoms like a good deal of fatigue, problems with concentration and short-term memory. Candida species produce a wide spectrum of diseases. These diseases range from superficial mucocutaneous disease to invasive illnesses, such as Candida peritonitis, hepatosplenic candidiasis and systemic candidiasis. Management of serious and life-threatening invasive candidiasis remains hampered by delays in diagnosis and the lack of reliable diagnostic methods. This is why it is important to go to your doctor and ask an advice from him. He will be able to treat you properly when and if he diagnoses you with Candida.
