| curiousgirl wrote: | What kind of cervical mucus should I expect after ovulation if I am pregnant? I am only about 6 dpo, but I have been having a LOT of discharge..more than I am used to. It is creamy and white. I have heard that increased amount of discharge can be a symptom of pregnancy..would this be too early to notice it? I am TTC, but this is my only symptom so far.

i was trying to get preg for 2 years then was told i had scaring to my womb and tubes , after this i went on a site called herbmoonhollow and got some herbs to start drinking like red clover flowers and a few other herbal teas such as green tea chaste berries and wild yam root and with in 8 weeks after taking them every day i fell preg which surprised my doctor and myself .
if you do start taken herbs make sure you speak to your doctor first as they can effect mediction .
Good luck |

I haven't had a period since the end of August. So I went to see a Nurse to give me a test, which said neg., also got a pap done. I have been reading about the cervical mucus, I think I have early Mucus - thick, white & sticky. I know if you start Birth Control it helps you start your period. I am going on my third week of the pills, and no period yet. This has happen to me couple times. But it usually started my period within the week of the pills. Now that I am going on my third week, could it be possible, when I have irregular periods all the time, become pregnant. I do not use any protection with my boyfriend (we have been together for over 2 years now, and we love each other dearly). Your feedback will be appricated.
Thanks!! |
Hello,
The pill does not help start your period----it produces esotrogen withdrawal bleeding (when you take placebos), it is bleeding but not technically menstruation. The pill suppresses ovulation and gives you artificial hormones to stop the process of ovulation and eventual menstruation. This is why you can have unprotected intercourse without getting pregant because you do not release an egg (if you don't miss pills or the margin of error). If it is your third week of pills you should expect to bleed on day 28 or there abouts when you take the placebo pills (ones without the artificial hormones), since that is what triggers endometrial shedding. So, at three weeks on birth control you would normally not expect to bleed and it is unlikely you are pregnant if you had a neg test previous to starting them. |

This happens every month to me for 22 years now. My ovulation hurts every month, the discharge is there every month. If you were pregnant, the breasts will become sore to where you cannot touch them at all. I become short tempered when pregnant and moody and for sure more tired.
Best of luck!

P.S. stress delays your period. Mine just did this for 3 days. I took a pregnancy test, the cheap one works fine $3.98 @ Wal Mart. It read a negative result w/in 1 min. I got my period about 4 hours later. Because I stopped stressing it. |
Everybody has different symptoms for pregnancy, and breast soreness varies from person to person. You may not have any soreness at all.
Stress does not delay your period - it delays ovulation. Most women have a constant luteal phase - the time between ovulation and when your period starts. If you have stress before ovulation, you may ovulate late, but it won't effect your luteal phase or menstruation.
Read "Taking Charge of Your Fertily" - great info. |

| Looking for symptoms will make you crazy. I kept going to twoweekwait.com and convinced myself i wasn't pregnant. I even went and picked up my clomid for the next month. The day i was supposed to get my period it didn't come. I assumed the clomid made my luteal phase longer (which it can do). I took a dollar pregnancy test from ept and low and behold there was a line. I then went and bought a first response ($5.) and was most definitely pregnant. I am now 5 weeks and 1 day and still no symptoms except for faintly sore breasts if i push them. I had my hormone levels checked they day i should have got my period and my hcg was 127, 5 days later it was 1,478 (it should double every 2-3 days). So mine is doubling every 34 hours (can mean twins when it's high) and i still feel nothing. Don't worry about it. Just wait and take a test so you don't get let down for nothing. |

| When I get pregnant, my cervical mucus is almost non-existent. I have a hard time having sex because of it. |
