I've noticed a significant change in my bowel habits. I used to have rather girthy long bowel movements (almost 2 inches wide!) that were straight as an arrow and now they have changed to thinner (1 inch wide or less). They're generally very smooth and have a snake like coiled appearance. I still go regularly by 10am each morning. My gastro, who happens to be a friend of the family said since there's no bad family history of gastro illness, he doesn't warrant a colonoscopy. He said that it's not worth the risk that's involved and in his opinion it's most likely stress or diet related since I'm not showing signs of blood or consistent pain. I respect his opinion but I tend to worry quite a bit. Has this happened to anyone else? I should mention that I'm 32 years old.
