Hey there, im asking a question for my girlfriend here, basically she was on the pill microgynon 30 (think the spelling is right) for a few months, the first 2 where fine but on the last week of the 3rd month she started getting a load of side effects coming through (tiredness, irritable, loss of sex drive sore breasts etc..) so she went to the doctors and they changed it to the cilest. the doctor told her to finish the pack (about 5 tablets) then start taking the new ones with no free week. it basically got so bad that she stopped taking them before she ran out (5 left) this was on thursday(ish) and she came on today... i read that it can mess your cycles up so thats no problem, the question is... now that she had the messed up cycle, when should she start taking the new ones? when she originall started taking them it was the first day of her period. but also ive read that during your "pill free week" they arent true periods.
so... should she wait till she's had another period before starting them.
should she start the new ones now seeing she'd just come on.
or wait for the period to finish, then start?
also do you know when she will be protected again?
