|
|
Hello,
For the past year chest pain occurred, which is worse in cold months. There is nothing that would ease the pain, I sometimes take these very strong painkillers ketonal, which I really shouldn’t because they are too strong, but I can’t help it. Pain is very strong and it also prevents me from sleeping. Sometimes I sit throughout the night, not closing an eye… horrible. Hardly breathing and taking these painkillers to be able to sleep. I went to the doctor, he did some tests, I have been on ultrasounds, scans…., but everything came back negative. I have been also suffering from rheumatoid arthritis more than 5 years. I was wondering if this could be connected to my chest pain problem. |

Hey there,
I have similar problem. You really shouldn’t take ketonal, because one of its side effects are chest pain!
Doctors find out that I have costochondritis. This is an inflammation of a rib or the cartilage connecting a rib, which is a common cause of chest-wall pain. Maybe this is the case with you too, or maybe Pleurisy, which is an inflammation of the pleura, the lining of the lungs, with subsequent pain.
I really do not want to guess, but I am just giving suggestions what might be wrong with you. However, this is up to specialist to find out. Go to a doctor and make more tests. I was struggling with doctors and test more than a year before they came up with solution! Be patient and I am sure you and doctors shall get to the bottom of it.
