For the past 4 years I have had sternum pain and difficulty getting a deep breath, which has slowly gotten worse over time. It feel as if I need to crack my chest and all will be OK but when I do no relieve comes my way. I can get a deep breath but the pressure in my chest is persistant. After seeing every MD available I had an MRI. When compared to my CT of the sternum it was found that I had osteochondrosis of the sternum. I have been unable to find any answers and the MD refered me to a cardiothoracic sugeon. The CTS said he wouldn't touch me. Now I have been unable to find a cause and unable to treat this. It is slowly getting worse and I wonder if it will affect other joints/cartliadges as well. Does anyone have any insight????
