Chewable Tablets, Phillips’ Milk of Magnesia

My mother is 67 years old and she is experiencing some problems with stomach. She complains of burning sensation, especially after she eats something, it looks like stomach acid level is increased. What can I do to help her? I have heard that Phillips' Milk of Magnesia (in the form of chewable tablets) might be helpful.

And you are right. Milk of Magnesia is antacid, and it helps people with stomach burning by neutralizing stomach acid (HCL). It also has a role in intestinal motility, improving it by drawing the water in the tract. You must know that it is far from a mild medicament, it is supposed to be used only for 7 days or so. After that he treatment has to be stopped.
