Hello! Hello! My daughter has always been having problems with her sleep. She doesn’t sleep enough although she eats well and she never had any problems with her health. She wakes many times during the night it is especially difficult for her to fall asleep. I spend hour and hours in her room. She is now two and a half years old and she resists going to sleep every night. Could this be a sign of childhood sleeping disorder?
Hello! Since your baby is healthy and she has no problems with her appetite we can’t say she has sleeping disorder. The problems you described are common sleep problems that occur at most children in her age. She needs some time and work to learn good sleep habits. First of all it is important to find some patterns which will help you to find the solution. Keeping a sleep diary is very helpful. Your daughter needs to go to bed at a reasonable time after a reasonable bedtime routine. Clear and firm rules are something that is very important. Let her stay late for one night as long as she wants to and then don’t allow her to sleep late in the morning. Wake her up at least an hour earlier the next morning and then she will fall asleep earlier at night and with less difficulty.
