Hi! I’m waiting for results of urine and blood tests and I’m very nervous. I need some more information about chronic pyelonephritis. I know that it can be very dangerous. Does anybody know what the typical symptoms of it are? And if I really have it, should I need to take antibiotics?
Sometimes there are no symptoms of chronic pyelonephritis, or they may be so mild that they go unnoticed. Then it can be very dangerous because disease may progress slowly over many years and may cause kidney failure. The first indication of trouble is usually high blood pressure or anemia. Probably you will need to use antibiotics because pyelonephritis is a bacterial infection.
