Posted: 03/03/06 - 23:23 Post subject: Chronic side ache especially when breathing |
|
|
I am 24 years old and i am having a chronic side pain for the last three days and it is most painful when i take a deep breath. Its my lower left side going towards the hip. i am really nervous about this problem because i really don't want to go to the doctor, i can't afford to. i have no other symptoms that i can see at this point. The pain feels like a side stitch or ache from excercise but it doesn't go away. I have started a new excercise routine and diet for the last month. i also have ovarian cysts related to PCOS. Could this problem be related some how??? Please Help? |

What do you mean by chronic pain that lasts for 3 days? Have you had this pain before?
My sister also has PCOS but she never complained about that kind of pain. Usually it was in the pelvic region. She is on the birth control pill to prevent the pain when ovulating and she used to use some other drugs to get rid of the excessive hairs. How are you coping wit this disease? Are your diet and exercise connected with the necessity to loose weight because of the syndrome?
I don’t have PCOS but I do get side pain after not exercising for a while and I start again. It usually lasts for the next three trainings just like any other muscle soreness. I usually taken ibuprofens and massage my body, especially where it hurts during my shower and at the end I shower with colder water for a few minutes. It’s great!
I hate when the next day I can’t get out of the bed, but it’s my fault for not being regular.
If the pain persists, I think you will have to see a doc, because sometimes even doctors have troubles finding the cause and not to mention someone online. |

| I've had a pain in my side for 8 years now, it almost never goes away and nobody has ever figured out what it is. It feels just like the pain you get when you run to long. Mine is on my right side, near the bottom of my rib cage. I also have an ovarian cyst. Sorry, I don't know what it is or if its related. |
