Colgate-Palmolive Company for oral care has united with Introgen Therapeutics to fight against pre-cancerous conditions in the oral cavity and oral cancer. Colgate-Palmolive has bought part of Introgen’s shares, which gives them the right to use any products made by Introgen and place them on the market.

Introgen produced a large number of molecular therapeutics for the prevention of a pre-cancerous condition called Leukoplakia as well as oral cancer. Molecular therapies may fight cancers on the molecular level and make it easier for the patients by avoiding chemo and radiation therapies. Also, these therapies can give patients a better chance of survival by repairing damaged cells and eliminating malignant or pre-malignant cells from the mouth
