Hi, my uncle also suffered from such colitis. It is inflammation of bowel which can't be seen with colonoscopy because there is no inflammation on surface of the intestines. Only sure method is biopsy where small part of tissue has to be taken on microscopic analyses. Exact cause for this disease is unknown.
