My father died couple of months ago and I must admit that my mental state has cracked a bit. I have fears and anxiety now; I cannot sleep and spend the day as before. I have started taking Buspar but since I cannot sleep at night, I thought of taking diazepam. Is combining those two meds a safe thing to do?

Well, the both of those meds have their own area of effect and should not collide. Still, each of those is not an easy medication and you should take them as prescribed, do not increase the dosage on your own. If you feel any side effect, or of the treatment is not working, do not hesitate and call your doctor immediately.
