Hi all, my period has always been very heavy and there are blood clots all the time. First day is usually heavy and lots of cramping but it gets better after that. The last time there was any sexual contact was 2mths back. For the next 2 months i've been having my menses as described above. I had very bad headaches that lasted a week after my most recent period about 2 weeks ago. doctor diagnosed me as anemic. But just today, there has been some blood stains. a little bit of Dark colored blood. Is this implantation bleeding? My menses is due in abt 2 weeks time. Someone pls advice. Could i be pregnant |

If you had your last sexual contact two months ago and have had your regular periods since then, you are not pregnant. Implantation bleeding happens around 6-12 days after conception.
Two weeks before the next period is due is normally when ovulation occurs. Sometimes there can be a bit of spotting at ovulation.
Hope this helps |

| thanks for the reply. i understand that ovulation can bring about some bleeding. However, never be4 have i experience it till now. y now? any idea? i understand from some websites some ppl mistake implantation bleeding for their periods. what if the period i had for the last 2 mths were actually implantation bleeding? i had bleeding for five days and there were blood clots is that my menses. i'm so confused. i haven't had any signs of pregnancy but still i'm worried.. *sigh* |

I wouldn't worry, implantation bleeding is usually very light if any (only occurs in 1-2% of pregnancies). If your bleeding was heavy and had clots like normal then it was probably just your period.
As for the spotting that you had I don't know why it would start now, just some variation from normal. Wouldn't it be good if we came with an instruction manual |

| it sounds ver unlikely that you are pregnant. if you feel that worried about it take a test. |

| Hi. If your period is due in two weeks then you will be ovulating some time around now. Ejaculation was likely too long ago, and it is too early to be experiencing any symptoms. Try not to worry about it, it sounds unlikely that you are pregnant. If your next period is a few days late then take a test (and don't stress too much or you will make your period late) |

ARE you on birth control pills are you young? MANY womenon birth control pills will have strange spotting and bleeding sometimes , this is normal...
ALSO YOUNG womens bodies can frequently change, YOU MAY NEVER know when you are going to ovulate, so using birth control of some sort is important if you DO NOT want to get pregnant. YES YOU CAN spot with ovulation, I DO ALL THE TIME.... It is normal.. I did even before I got my IUD as a birth control device. If you are worried about poregnancy, why not see a doc and get birth control? You do NOT need parnetal consent for these services.. |
