Posted: 09/30/06 - 07:28 Post subject: Confused about blood tests and over the counter pregnancy te |
|
|
I am 11 days late on my period....I am never late, I am usually 1 day early or so....My cycle is 25-26 days....
I took a pregnancy test and it was negative, I then took a 2nd test and it was positive, the line was faint but there was still a line....Again, I bought another pregnancy test and the same thing a faint line which I am assuming it is a positive. I decided to have my blood drawn and I was told that I had to wait 72 hours and retake the blood test because it was not a negative nor a positive, I guess it was inconclusive....
I re-took the blood test and it was the same thing. I don't understand.... So, I bought another test and took it at home and that one was negative. I made an appointment to see my Doctor. I feel all of the symptoms, I feel dizzy and I have felt nautious and my lower back is really hurting....What is wrong?[/b] |

This does sound odd indeed....
I DO KNOW that there are some pregnancy tests that have given a false positive by a LIGHT line showing up, it is called a "Disappearing Positive"..
http://www.peeonastick.com
This site has info about pregnancy tests... It is best to see your doctor=)
WHO gave you a pregnancy test last time if it was not your doctor?
THE REASON I ask is because there are "Crisis pregnancy centers" which offer free pregnancy tests, but they often give DECEPTIVE answers.. |

I bought the pregnancy tests at the pharmacy....I have not yet been to my Doctor but I am going this week as scheduled and I will have more answers then....
Yes it is odd, I am NEVER late....
If I am pregnant it would be awesome as my husband and I have been planning to have another baby.....
I am just worried if it could be somethng else and that scares me.... |
