Consequences of undergoing hysterectomy.please explain

My wife is going to have hysterectomy in few days. Is there a woman who can explain me consequences of undergoing hysterectomy? I am very worried about her; she is not handling with situation very well. Please, it would be great help for me to hear experiences from others. Thank you.

I undergo hysterectomy 6 months ago. Personally, if I knew that I was going to have horrible pain every month, or bleeding keeping me from doing what I want to do. I would be pretty depressed about it. My consequence from surgery was depression which is not uncommon, especially if the recovery limits activities. Also, what I had interest in sex. But I guess it is different for each woman.
