Constant nausea and other symptoms, do I have an anxiety pro

I'm a 14 year old girl, and a few weeks ago I woke up feeling very nauseous.. It hasn't gone away yet, and it's been accompanied by diarrohea, constipation, palpitations, headaches, stomach churning, shivering etc. and it's ruining my life.

The doctor said there's nothing physically wrong with me.

I have a phobia of vomiting so the nausea is THAT much worse. Do I have an anxiety problem, and if so, what should I do about it?

Did the doctor do any tests? Also, how long as this been going on? Because this sounds like a stomach flu. I went in for the stomach flu once and no tests were done, and despite the fact that I had a fever, diarrhea, and the works, he declared that I didn't have one because my fever was one degree lower than "the average."

This also could be anxiety, yes. Anxiety can cause all of the symptoms you're describing, although it's unlikely to cause diarrhea or constipation. Anxiety accompanied with gastrointestinal problems can signify a L-tryptophan deficiency. It's rather common nowadays because we don't have the necessary nutrition to knock out deficiencies. Ask your doctor if this may be the problem.

You also have the option of seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist. If you feel counseling is necessary, do that.

There are also some phobia techniques that you can try. Get the book "Tapping the Healer Within," by Dr. Callahan. They're fabulous techniques. If you don't understand some of the language or techniques, ask an adult to help you with it.
