Hello, folks. I hear that Celexa is a good medication for depression. Many recommend it. However, I would like to know whether it can be prescribed for panic due to arrhythmia. What do you think? I would really like to know that since my friend has similar symptoms. Thanks for replying.

Hi, there. Celexa belongs to a group of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It is usually used for treating depression. These medications help in balancing serotonin metabolism which is very important for mood situation. Celexa is considered to be safe for heart. However, faster and irregular heartbeats can appear as side effects. I think your friend should consult with a doctor. I am not sure what exactly to tell you. I hope you’ll find some details. Good luck!
