Could I overdose on vitamins?

Yes, it is possible. It happened to me. I was taking multivitamins for a few months and suddenly my fingertips started peeling. It was so weird because I have never seen this before and I couldn’t possibly think of a reason. If I haven’t been taking the supplements I would think it was due to lack of certain vitamins. So, I went and saw my doc and she ran a blood test and we determined that I had too much vitamin A, what she suspected in the first place. Another common reason is a lack of vitamin B but it was almost impossible in my case. We went through my diet and she said that I was already having a lot of vitamins A from my diet like eggs, meat and diary products and that the supplements I was taking had a lot of vitamin A as well. She told me to switch to this other kind of multivitamins that had less vitamin A in them.

Could I overdose on vitamins?
