Could Obstructive Sleep Apnea be associated with neurological disorders?

Hello! My very good friend has some problem with sleeping. He went to doctor and she told him that it’s possibly Obstructive Sleep Apnea. He also has a small neurological disorder. I’m wondering could Obstructive Sleep Apnea be associated with neurological disorders. I don’t know anything about OSA. Can it be dangerous?
